LOCOG Chair Seb Coe to Accompany Lee Pearson in Disabled People Riding Center

Chair of LOCOG, London 2012 Organising Committee, Seb Coe accompanied with nine-time gold medalist Lee Pearson CBE paid a visit to riding centre. The riding centre offers riding facilities to people having special needs.

In Etiham, the New Lodge Centre is located and caters round 75-100 regular riders having special needs, such as physical, sensory and learning problems.

Seb Coe and Lee Pearson also enjoyed a few riding lessons and got an opportunity to meet some riders. They were looking out for the benefits of riding for them. Chair of LOCOG, Seb Coe said, “It’s been fantastic visiting this centre and seeing how much these young disabled riders are benefiting from the activities provided by New Lodge Centre. We want to leave a lasting legacy with the Games and centres like this one will help inspire young people to give a new sport a go.”

Lee Pearson CBE stated, “I've really enjoyed meeting some of the young riders and seeing how inspired they are. This is what the Paralympic Games are all about - inspiring young people and demonstrating what they can do. When I was growing up, I would have benefited from centres like this so I’m thrilled to see the legacy the Paralympic Games will leave in London.”

In the fourth Paralympic Games to be held at London 2012 Olympics Games, Lee Pearson will be one of the participants. If you are looking for latest updates and information on 2012 London Olympics, just log on to London Olympics Tickets!
