Companies Required for Transformation For Post 2012 London Olympics

In order to deliver the venues of Olympic Park, Olympic Delivery Authority is on track. For test events, infrastructure is also ready. Olympic Park will become Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park after Olympic Games.

Plans regarding the long term usage of Park is already on table. For transformation of parklands, infrastructure, contractors have been sought after. Advertisements for two posts have already been made, which includes North and South of Park.
• In order to create largest urban public park, 250 acre parklands will be completed
• Innovative temporary elements of bridges, concourses and security infrastructure will be removed, which includes perimeter fence.
• On East Marsh, football fields will be delivered.
Existing contracts will includes all the legacy conversion of Olympic Stadium, Olympic Village and Aquatics Centre.

Alison Nimmo, ODA Director of Design and Regeneration said, “Legacy was at the heart of the London 2012 Bid and 75p of every £1 was spent cleaning up what was a former industrial area and creating the Olympic Park is an investment in the regeneration of east London. The venues, sports facilities, parklands, allotments, roads, bridges, footpaths, cycle-paths, energy and utilities networks will form the foundation of the long-term development of this part of London for future generations.”
