Enjoyable Athletics and Paralympic Athletics events will be held in Olympic Stadium during London 2012 Games. Both the opening and closing ceremonies will be held in this very stadium. The stadium is positioned in South of Olympic Park.
During the Olympic Games, Olympic Stadium has a huge occupancy of 80,000. In the permanent lower tier, there are 25,000 permanent seats. On the other hand, there is light weight steel and concrete upper tier with occupancy of 55,000. After Olympic Games, the upper tier will dismantled.
In the South of Olympic Park, the Olympic Stadium is positioned. It is enclosed by waterways on all the three sides. Five bridges will connect the site to surrounding area. Some of the facilities, which Stadium encompasses, are changing rooms, medical support facilities and 80m warm up track. Other facilities included in the Stadium are spectator services, refreshments and merchandise outlets.
