For the second time, approximately 20,000 people have again missed the booking of 2012 London Olympics Tickets! On Sunday, the London Organising Committee of Olympic Games have notified the unlucky applicants regarding their unsuccessful second chance of securing London Olympics Tickets!
This second chance was meant for 1.2 million people who have applied in the first round of ticket sales, but received nothing. Hence, it was a double disappointment for these 20,000 applicants.
Madeleine Black, one of the applicants informed Telegraph Sport that to lodge the application, she has worked for more than forty minutes, as she said, “What was the point?”
Most of the applicants were facing lots of difficulties and considers it a huge painful process. Due to huge demand of approximately 90, 000 applications, computer system of LOCOG was crashed.
The LOCOG chairman, Lord Coe said, “We will continue to do everything we can to get them [unsuccessful applicants] to the Games.” He also assured ticket lookers that after testing and licensing of venues, approximately one million new tickets will be offered to the public by next year.
He also said, “We aim to get as many of these tickets as possible into the hands of customers who have missed out to date.” Organisers are planning to open the new year sales to everyone. For instance, for those who have not yet registered would be able to participate in the two rounds of tickets.
Some of the Olympic event tickets are still available, such as football, volleyball, Greco-roman wrestling and free style wrestling.
