Tata Movie Project is a record breaking initiative by London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. During this year British Academy Children’s Awards, it has won BAFTA.
For its innovative film, ‘The Itch of the Golden Nit’ the project is the winner of ‘Interactive’ category. The movie celebrated best in Children’s film, television, games and online media.
The movie was a part of cultural Olympiad and was created mainly for and by children. More than 34,000 young people from all across UK have worked for this innovative animation, which comprises of thousands of drawing, sound effects and story ideas.
Ruth Mackenzie, Cultural Olympiad Director said, “'It's wonderful to see a project made for the Cultural Olympiad winning awards. Congratulations to the dedicated team behind the project and the thousands of children who were involved.”
The project also attained prestigious Guinness World Record for brilliant contribution to animated movie. Total of 1897 people have been selected for this process.
