2012 London Olympics Volunteer Interview

In order to choose the 70,000 Game Makers, Interview rounds are going for the volunteers. This will be the biggest peace-time recruitment drive of UK and event will be held all over the country. For the position of volunteer, approximately 250,000 people have applied for this position and selection centre will opened at ExCel, London.

During the next 14 months, around 100, 000 will be shortlisted for the position of volunteers. Volunteers responsibilities include taking tickets and will escort the participants on the site. According to chairman of London Organising Committee of Olympic and Paralympic Games, Lord Coe, “I know the difference between a good games and a great games is the quality of the volunteers. The Games Maker volunteers will be the faces of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and it is crucial that we recruit the best team players in the UK.”

London Centre will mark its opening from 1st February to 31st March. In eight other countries, Games Maker recruitment event will be held until mid-August. According to reports, around 300 people will attend the 30 minutes interview.

Jonathan Edwards, Olympic Gold Medallist also said that volunteer process is the best way to be the part of this phenomenal lifetime event.
