2012 London Olympics Peace Project


Chair Seb Coe of LOCOG or London 2012 Organising Committee has pledged his support for a project which is designed for the promotion of safer and tolerant society during the Games. With London 2012 Inspire Mark Initiative, London Citizens 100 Days of Peace project mainly focuses on the development of stronger communities, neighborhood organizations as well as good bonding with police. On 9th June, the project will be launched and run for 50 days and 50 days later. On 28th October, a new map of London is published which will exhibit CitySafe Zones. Seb Coe further added, “The 100 Days of Peace project is a great initiative and I would encourage all members of the public and businesses to back this. It absolutely fits in with the vision we set out in Singapore to inspire young people and provide them with new opportunities in life.” CitySafe Campaign is the major part of 100 Days of Peace project, where both the young people and adults will work on several initiatives such as improving local businesses and organizations to provide as City Safe Havens.
