2012 London Olympics Latest News

At the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, work has started on the temporary venue. Shooting, Paralympic Shooting and Paralympic Archery competitions events will take place in Woolwich.

For spectators, Barracks will be a splendid venue while entering venue with world popular military base. Before taking seats to enjoy this sporting action, visitors will see the longest Georgian building façade.

Richard Arnold, Olympic Delivery Authority Project Sponsor said, “The Shooting venue is the ODA’s final venue to start construction and will be ready to host test events next year. It will be a fitting arena for athletes during the London 2012 Games and spectators will also benefit from an excellent location that is steeped in history.”]

The 2012 London Olympic Venue will comprise of three enclosed ranges and three open-air ranges and will be finished by the upcoming international shooting test events.
