Australia Qualifies for 2012 London Olympics

Australia showed the exit door to China from London Olympics Games at the qualifying tournament of men’s volleyball on Sunday. Australia marks an end to the tournament with 25-12, 25-20, 25-13 victory with 5-2 win-loss record for 15 points. It is unattainable for both Iran and Japan who will play later. Captain of Australia, Igor Yudin said, “Today was a do-or-die game again, the final show and it was up to us to perform. We were the actors and it's an amazing feeling to come to the last day and dominate a team like that.” He further added, “It's an unbelievable experience and all of us are really happy to be part of that. For these games, you have to be a lion or a dog and we did that perfectly. I can't remember having the same focus and aggression since I joined the team. It's great that we made this step on such a huge stage and at such a huge moment.” The Argentine coach of Australia, Jon Uriarte has lots of praise for all his players. They started working together for matches played in Italy, Bulgaria, Poland and Netherlands, just 50 days after the professional season. Uriarte stated, “During the tournament, they were the protagonists. I want to congratulate them. Today we wanted to disrupt China's offence and each had specific targets to try and create problems for their offence.” He further added, “They did a good job today, but it hasn't been like that every day. Our block is quite good but not efficient enough, especially if we want to make the next step and challenge the top teams in the world.” For those who want to be the part of real live action and thrill of 2012 London Olympics, just log on to www.londonolympicstickets.com! GB Hockey Squad Offered Apology -2012 London Olympics Latest news

Recently, the Hockey team of Great Britain provided ‘full and unreserved apology’ to the women team of South Africa, after apartheid anthem Die Stem was played. Before the beginning of London Cup Match played between the teams, where South Africa was the winner by 3-1, this fault was done. According to the Hockey Association of South Africa, “This incident robbed our team of what should've been a moment of pride.” GB Hockey stated, “The error was made by a contractor responsible for sports presentation at the event.” The Chief Executive of South African Association, Marissa Langeni stated, “the country watched with disbelief as our team stood through what clearly was a most embarrassing and uncomfortable experience.” According to Sally Munday, the British counterpart, “Standard procedure would be to check anthems to be played with visiting teams in advance, however, on this occasion that did not happen and Great Britain Hockey accepts full responsibility. Great Britain Hockey and its contractor appreciate the sensitive nature of this unfortunate mistake and we apologise unreservedly for the offence caused. The correct anthem will be played before all of South Africa's remaining matches, beginning with the team's second fixture against Germany on Wednesday evening.” The magic of 2012 London Olympics can be enjoyed at fullest with online advance 2012 London Olympics Tickets at best prices!
