Organisers of London Olympics stated that unwanted tickets of 2012 Summer Olympics can be sold back. If you have bought tickets straight from organizers then you would be able to sell tickets on full face value.
While addressing a news release, London Organizing Committee, (LOCOG) said, “The resale process will allow those who are no longer able to attend or no longer want their tickets to sell them to other sports fans and help ensure that venues are full at Games time.”
LOCOG wants to minimize unwanted tickets from third parties or illegal sellers at high prices. If you have bought tickets from authorized third parties then they are not eligible to be resold in the LOCOG’s website.
Organisers face lots of problems related to ticket allocation. During the early rounds of sales which are opened to the British residents, several people stated that they had skipped tickets for the top-tier events.
