On Tuesday, Team GB will come to know their Olympic football opponents. At the Wembley stadium, draw for both the events will be held. During this championship, men side of Stuart Pearce and women side of Hope Powell are among the 28 teams who will be in the draw for tournament.
The men’s competition features 16 teams, where final position is decided at a play-off between Senegal and Oman along with 12 teams in women.
Although, both the British sides are unaware about their opponents, still they are well aware about the dates of their three group games. On 25th July, first match will be held in Cardiff, whereas finals will be held on 9th and 11th August.
Match of the Day presenter, Gary Lineker will host Match of the Day and will be live on the world renowned sport website BBC. During this competition, all the action packed matches will ve held at Hampden Park (Glasgow), Sports Direct Arena, Old Trafford Manchester, City of Coventry Stadium, Millenium Stadium and Wembley (London).
In the men’s competition, all 16 teams will be categorized into four groups. On 26th July, Pearce’s men will start their campaign at Old Trafford, which will be followed by a game held at Wembley on Sunday 29 July.
