London 2012 New Landmark on Walking and Cycling Route

For the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on the Greenway, the Duke of Gloucester disclosed a new permanent landmark, which is a major London 2012 cycle and walkway.

On the Greenway, sixty glass pavement markers create a piece along with scintillating lighting effect for around 60 second. This will generate a simmering night effect.

The Greenway which is located in the boundaries of Olympic Park will become a part of Jubilee Walkway Trust of around 60km London wide walking and cycling route. It will celebrate the 60 year old reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

Approximately 500 square glass plaques wil mark the rest of route and connect central London Games venues along with several favorite parks of the capital, attractions, palaces and views.

The Duke of Gloucester, His Royal Highness said, “It is wonderful that the Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Games have come together to create a unique emblem on the edge of the Olympic Park that will be enjoyed by people for years to come.”
