2012 London Olympics Official Ambassadors are Duke and Duchess

The official ambassadors of Team GB and Paralympics GB are Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. William, Kate and Harry quoted that they were hugely honoured to be the ambassadors for Team GB and Paralympics GB. They will play key role in encouraging this sports event among the public to support sportsmen and women.

For the upcoming Olympics Games, all of them will mark visit to the Olympic venues and pay visit to the training camps of athletes. They will also participate in this magnificent event in the month of July, whereas Paralympics also.

According to a spokesman of St. James’s Palace, no Olympic programme has been yet made for all the three members of Royal family. However, they would mainly concentrate on “helping young people reach their full potential”.

Team GB Preparation Camp located in Loughborough is one of the venues that the Royal three need to visit. The athletes will spend most of their time in this venue. They have started their ambassadorial role by addressing message in support of Team GB Ambition Programme.

Duke said, “Catherine, Harry and I are honoured to be ambassadors for Team GB and ParalympicsGB. London hosting the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will inspire so many people - particularly the young - to be the best they can be. We are hugely looking forward to this incredible sporting competition, but are also looking beyond next summer's Games to the springboard it will provide for future success and excellence.”

He further added, “The athletes and coaches taking part in the Team GB Ambition Programme are part of that future success - potential medal-winners and sources of inspiration to come. We hope they enjoy the experience of London 2012 to the full, and learn from it how to become successful British Olympians of the future.”
