Aislie Leading Olympic Sailing Event

Weymouth and Portland hosted the Olympic sailing test event, where Ben Ainslie fought against strong winds to lead the Finn class. On Monday, he successfully grabbed three points with 22 knot winds as second day of the event.

In order to master the elements, three-time Olympic gold medallist managed. His day level started with Jonathan Lobert of France, where 34 year old was quite happy with all his efforts.

He stated, “Certainly it's very challenging conditions. It's quite hard to read the wind and to decide which side is going to pay so I think it's keeping everyone on their toes.”

In the 49er event, Steve Morrison and Ben Rhodes hold on fourth position. For Finn, Star and 49er fleets, Tuesday will be the rest day. 470 men and women along with Laser Radial classes will mark return to action. On 13th August, the event will come to an end.
