2012 London Olympics Medals

Designs for the medals for 2012 London Olympics have been disclosed. British Artists David Watkins have designed the medals show Nike and Greek Goddess of Victory stepping out of Parthenon.
All of them are the biggest ever Summer Olympic medals with 85mm diameter and huge weight of 375-400gms.

These medals are mainly comprised of following products:

Gold Medals mainly includes 92.5% Silver, 1.34 gold and rest of copper. On the other hand, Silver medal comprises of 92.5% silver and rest copper, whereas Bronze medal has 97.0% copper, 2.5% zinc and 0.5% tin.
