2012 London Olympics Mascot to Make Big Screen Appearance

London 2012 Paralympic Games is approaching fast! 2012 Olympic mascot Wenlock and Mandevile’s Out of a Rainbow is coming to silver screen. Michael Morpurgo has penned this animated movie, which shows the creation of Mandeville and Wenlock from last two drops of steel from Olympic Stadium. They will follow the sporting adventure all across UK which inspired young people to enjoy this sport.

The movie will run across UK in 100 ODEAN Cinemas from August 26 to September 29, 2011. English theatre, movie and television actor, Jim Broadbent will be the narrator of this movie. British Paralympic and Olympic Athletes’ animated version will also make an appearance in the movie, which will include athletes, such as Ellie Simmonds, Mandip Sehmi, Tom Daley and Phillips Idowu.




Seb Coe, Chairman of London 2012 Organising Committee said, “Our mascots were created to engage and excite young people in sport. These films will bring the mascots’ experiences of meeting new people and trying new sports to thousands of young people visiting cinemas across the UK. Through their journey, Wenlock and Mandeville will help inspire kids to strive to be the best they can be.”
