The (competition) format has changed such that the number of Chinese players competing will also change, so hopefully the playing field will be more level this time and they will be more competitive. We can look forward to another brilliant performance from the table tennis team.”

The Chinese capital has a few Olympic medalists of Singapore, which includes a team of Feng Tianwei, Wang Yuegu, Li Jiawei, Sun Beibei and Yu Mengyu.

For the final of an Olympic event, 21 year old Tao Li is the first Singaporean swimmer to qualify for Olympic event.
