2012 London Olympics tickets Applications Crosses One Million Mark

2012 London Olympics is already creating stir all across the globe. For the men’s 100 metres final, approximately one million ticket applications have been submitted. In the public ballot, availability of 40, 000 seats have been made which will also accommodate sponsors, VIPs and media. Hence, opportunity of ticket securing is quite less.

100 metres final is regarded as one of the most popular event among the Olympics lovers. Process of money transferring has already been started by LOCOG. One of the Spokesperson of LOCOG stated, “If we get towards the end of the process and someone has dropped out of the ballot and you are next on the list to get the tickets, and we have already taken out a payment for other tickets you were allocated, there may be a second payment taken out.”

An official sport-by-sport breakdown of ticket application figures will be released by LOCOG. Some of the confirmed sell out events of 2012 London Olympics are Track Cycling, rhythmic gymnastics, triathlon, modern pentathlon, equestrian and opening and closing ceremonies.
